We are looking for motivated individuals to work with students enrolled in a federally funded Free Tutoring program funded through the No Child Left Behind legislation. Tutor responsibilities include:
• Administration of diagnostic assessments
• Regular meetings with students and parents for instructional purposes and discussion of specific intervention strategies to assist students in bridging learning gaps.
• Motivating the students by developing positive relationships.
• Providing instruction in the subject area(s) of Reading and Mathematics

Club Z! currently pays $18.00-23.00 per hour for individual tutoring. This position offers flexible hours, is part-time and is a great way to supplement your current income.

The Club Z! In Home Tutoring program is successful because it provides highly individualized, one-on-one instruction in the comfort and security of the students’ home. Tutoring sessions may also be scheduled at libraries or community centers. Our services are provided to kindergarten through 12 grade students in the areas of Reading or Math.

Science Adventures – Great part time job! a division of Knowledge Learning Corporation is looking to hire a self motivated and dependable part- time instructor to work in a creative school-age environment. Our instructors teach a predetermined “hands on” science curriculum to elementary aged children in an after school setting.

This program will be held in the Kyrene school district (Tempe, AZ).

Our instructors have a great opportunity to attend periodic paid curriculum training that will prepare you to deliver quality “hands-on” science projects and lessons. The curriculum provided is easy and lots of fun for the kids and instructor!

The program runs 5 weeks sessions, with additional sessions throughout the school year. Instructor may work one - four days per week, 1 hr each day. This position has a lot of opportunitiy for growth!!

Pay Scale: $11.00 - $13.00/ hour – based on experience.

Requirements: Applicants must have experience working with elementary children in a group or classroom setting. Also strong classroom management skills as well as mastery of Science Adventures curriculum are required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CKL associates are all college-educated with an interest in helping students achieve their academic potential. Associates teach math and reading fundamentals to small groups of up to 10 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
  
• Associates maintain student records and hold periodic meetings with parents to discuss progress. CKL provides instructional materials, training and support.
  
• Associates can elect to work between 3 and 15 hours per week during after-school hours (2-6PM) and on weekends. Positions available at multiple school locations in the communities we serve. Associates work as independent contractors.
