Job Title: Gifted Homeschool Gr 2 & 4 Company: A Gifted Homeschool Location: cedar park, TX Description: Teach elementary education to two gifted siblings (7 year old girl and 9 year old boy) in a residential Private School setting where education is valued, well-mannered children love to learn, parents are supportive and adequate resources are provided. Subjects include the following: Bible Reading and Verse Memorization using curriculum materials from DiscipleLand. Language Arts using curriculum materials from the Riggs Institute and their recommended supplements. LA includes Phonograms, Spelling, English Composition, Cursive Writing using Handwriting Without Tears, Reading Comprehension using McCall-Crabbs, Greek and Latin Roots using English From the Roots Up, and Analogies. Literature includes poetry, fictional stories, and creative writing. Math using curriculum materials from Saxon. Logic puzzles are also included. French and Spanish using Rosetta Stone Homeschool edition. Physical Education using fitness videos. History following the scope and sequence suggested by the Core Knowledge Foundation supplemented with activities from The Story Of The World. Science following the scope and sequence suggested by the Core Knowledge Foundation supplemented with experiments from Power of Science. Music and Art following the scope and sequence suggested by the Core Knowledge Foundation with additional activities. Hours: 8:30 am - 5 pm (full-time); year-round position.
