Job Title: Preschool Music Teacher, Vivace Youth Chorus Company: Location: San Francisco, CA Description: Preschool Music Teacher, Vivace Youth Chorus Rising Notes Class, Ages 4 and 5 Vivace Youth Chorus is looking for a teacher to work with 4 and 5 year olds in a music class to introduce singing using a Kodaly based methodology. The class is focused on singing through games, stories and movement. Children learn music basics: singing/speaking voice, loud/soft, fast/slow, high/low. Part-time position Class is 45 minutes long, Wednesdays, one to two sessions, depending on enrollment. Teacher reports to Artistic Director, Peggy Spool Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in Music Education, Performance or related field. Background in Kodaly Methodology Experience working with young children in music Knowledge of appropriate repertoire Interest in continued professional development Good organizational skills and an ability to work with parents and children.
