Job Title: Cherokee Immersion Preschool Teacher Company: Cherokee Nation Location: Tahlequah, OK Description: Supervises students in the classroom. Instructs students in Cherokee Language according to set lesson plans and curriculum. Responsibilities: Develops lesson plans in the Cherokee Language. Teaches daily lessons in Cherokee Language. Provides a safer and healthy environment for the children. Operates audio/visual equipment. Maintains reports and records as required. Responsible for the overall classroom in the absence of the Cherokee Immersion Lead Teacher. Physically arranges the room and equipment for learning sessions. Maintains communication with parents and staff in both written and verbal form. Prepares the classroom by making sure the room is clean and orderly. Participates in all co-curricular and extra curricular events. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in Education; no substitutions. No additional experience required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
