Kingman Unified School District, which is nestled in the Cerbat and Hualapai Mountain ranges in beautiful northwestern Arizona, is seeking Special Education middle school teachers to join its amazing staff of educators. Kingman's teachers, along with families and the community, work together toward clearly focused educational goals and strive to establish and promote high expectations that advance rigorous learning, child development and productive citizenship for all students. As a Special Education teacher you will have a 148-day contract and will enjoy a 4-day work week, giving you time to enjoy long weekends with family and friends and the many splendors of Arizona. Did we mention Kingman is ideally situated between Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angeles and the Grand Canyon? Your opportunities to attain true work/life balance are enhanced by three two-week breaks in the fall, winter, and spring, and seven weeks off in the summer. The successful applicant will have or be able to obtain a valid State of Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with Special Education certificate as well as be available to begin the new school year with us on July 17, 2018. Depending upon your education and experience, your initial salary placement will range from $33,000 to $44,900; plus, you will receive a $2,000 first-year critical needs stipend at the start of your employment and be eligible for an ongoing $1,250 or $2,500 per year SPED stipend! In addition, you will be eligible to earn $5,000-$7,000 in 301 money and may enroll for health care benefits with no out-of-pocket premium costs. Arizona life in Kingman is amazing; come join us!
