We are seeking Special Education Teachers to join our team.Teachers will be working in collaboration with MSW/Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Para-Professionals, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, BCBA's, School Districts and Families. Teachers play a key role implementing IEP's, developing/differentiation of curriculum and classroom behavior management..
You will report to our Co-Directors
 

What You Will Do:

  • Implementation of IEP goals,
  • modifying curriculum to meet the needs of each student,
  • collaboration with team members,
  • classroom/behavior management,
  • assessment of student progress

What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Organizational Skills
  • Ability to develop Therapeutic Relationships
  • Patience
  • Flexibility
  • Classroom/group Management skills
  • Special education background
  • Enjoys working with youth who have academic/behavioral disabilities
  • Creativity in curriculum
  • understanding of diverse needs
  • willing to be open to alternative ways to assess progress
  • sense of humor
  • passion for making a difference in a student's life
  • engaging in activities with students to have fun
