What are milestones in the freelance marketplace?
Milestones break larger projects, or contract roles, into stages.
Each stage has:
- Defined deliverables
- A set payment amount
- Approval checkpoints
After you accept an offer and enter into an agreement with the employer, you’ll begin to work through milestones listed in the agreement.
As you complete milestones, you or the employer may mark them as “complete” in the Agreement page.
If you mark the milestone as complete, the employer will need to verify that it is completed before payment is released.
If the employer takes no action, funds are released to you after the 72 hours have elapsed.
