Full Job Description
A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing
learning environment. Additionally a Lead Teacher is responsible to work together with an Assistant Teacher and in
conjunction with the entire faculty.
Qualifications
BA in Early Childhood Education, or related field
Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in Education)
Be currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program
Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication
Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents
Responsibilities
The teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children, working as a lead teacher in partnership
with an assistant teacher
Lesson Plans are already prepared, together both teachers tweek developed lesson plans after observing children and implement lesson plans, with managing the students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play.
Teachers are responsible for keeping their classroom organized and clean, and communicating with parents in
person and in writing
Observe children's interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum
Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of
avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
MAT trained a plus
Benefits
Salary range: $16 to $17/Hour depending on qualifications for lead teacher/ $13 to $15 for Teacher Assistant
