Job Overview
We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to become a part of our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a motivating and supportive atmosphere that incorporates Restorative Practices while engaging students in Project-based Learning. This role requires a passion for nurturing young minds, promoting lifelong learning, and taking students on enriching experiences outside the classroom.

Duties

  • Develop and implement inspiring lesson plans aligned with the established curriculum while accommodating various learning styles and needs of students.
  • Employ strong classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, productive learning environment that encourages student participation.
  • Conduct student assessments utilizing a range of methods, including quizzes, assignments, and direct observation, to provide meaningful feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other educators in curriculum development and teaching methodologies to share effective strategies and enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Establish clear communication channels with students, parents, and faculty to foster a thriving school community.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth by keeping abreast of developments in child development theories and contemporary education practices to refine teaching strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline; certification in teaching is preferred.
  • Familiarity or willingness to be coached on Restorative Practices, effective Project-based Learning strategies, and foundational principles of reading science.
  • Proven experience in lesson planning, fostering curriculum development, and implementing effective classroom management practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with a talent for connecting with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A capability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently with a strong work ethic.
  • A fervent commitment to education and a belief in creating a welcoming learning environment through active involvement in student field trips and educational experiences.
