Bluffview Montessori School, nestled along the scenic bluffs of the Mississippi River in Winona, MN, is seeking a passionate and creative Visual and Media Arts Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a part-time position (.6 FTE), with potential to increase to .8 FTE depending on enrollment and program development.

The Visual and Media Arts Teacher will deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in both traditional and digital arts. The ideal candidate will inspire students’ creativity while fostering independence and self-expression in alignment with Montessori principles. You will design a dynamic, responsive curriculum rooted in state and national standards, and cultivate a learning environment where students explore visual storytelling, design thinking, and multimedia expression.

• Design and implement art lessons that integrate Montessori methods and Minnesota Academic Standards.
• Promote self-directed learning through studio-based practices.
• Use a range of assessment tools to support student growth and ownership of learning.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
• Collaborate with teaching teams, families, and the broader school community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school events.

• Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Visual Arts (or eligibility to obtain).
• Ability to obtain Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification.
  
  
• Preferred:
• Experience teaching in a Montessori or child-centered learning environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
• Familiarity with integrating media arts and digital tools in the classroom.

• Salary Range: $21,000 – $31,200 (based on FTE and experience)
