Early Childhood Educator

Responsible for supervising, nurturing, and caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Welcomes children each day, provides meals, performs crafts and activities, change diapers and ensures children interact appropriately with other children.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Supervise school age children after school
• Serve meals
• Be fun
• Organize activities that stimulate children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social development
• Help children with self care routines
• Prepare bottles and change diapers
• Clean/organize classroom
• Be happy and energetic
• Be self motivated
• Maintain a safe and fun environment
• Comfort children when they need comforting
• Prepare daily, weekly and other schedules of activities and lesson plans
• Supervise children while inside, outside and on field trips
• Monitor the van when transporting children
• Signing children in and out
• Using the center software to communicate with parents and log children's activities
• Working with children requires flexibility, ability to communicate clearly, dependability and patience.
