Early Childhood Academy - Head Teacher, 2 year old classroom
Description General Responsibilities:
To teach and supervise a preschool and/or class; to set the tone of the class; and to establish
developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Major Tasks:
Designs and maintains the physical environment to include the following:
. A variety of interest centers;
. A clean, safe environment;
. Daily sign-in sheets, and parent bulletin board; and
. Developmentally appropriate materials and activities.
. Provides warmth and affection to all children equally;
. Fosters self-esteem, respect for others, and independence;
. Provides for individual differences and abilities
. Support children through the toilet training process with patience, consistency, and
encouragement.
Qualifications:
Training or experience in early childhood education- BA or CDA preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
Exhibit flexibility, creativity and a willingness to learn.
