Education Assistant Specialist, Registered Behavior Tech

Position Information

This position is a 7 hour/day position. There is an additional $2.35 per hour stipend attached to this position.

Functional Specific Duties

• Collects reliability data, assists in data collection methods for classrooms and helps to maintain the BIF/BILSR system.
• Tracks restrictive procedures, updates Campus with parent contacts, schedules and attends BIF/BILSR debrief meetings and helps to maintain the restrictive procedures plan binders.
• Conducts observations, collects ABC data, prepares data for student planning meetings and conducts fidelity checks of student plans as needed.
• Supports the MTSS process by modeling Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, maintaining phase change logs, co-facilitating training on Tier 1 strategies and data collection and tracking current intervention levels for scholars.
• Conducts skills training and preference assessments with scholars and responds to crisis as needed.

Training Requirements

• Registered Behavior Technician Certification (RBT)

Physical Requirements:

• Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects
• Job requirements include:
• Occasionally (1-33% of the time) run, climb or balance, taste and smell, and lift up to 100lbs
• Frequently (34-66% of the time) sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl, and lift up to 25lbs
• Continuously (67-100% of the time) stand, walk, use hands, and talk and hear
