Job Description
High School Science Teacher for Nash County Public Schools in Nash County, NC.
A High School Science Teacher teaches high school science classes to students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
They establish clear objectives for all lessons that guide the learning process toward the achievement of State curriculum goals.
They create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning using instructional materials and media.
They stay abreast of current topics in science to keep instructional materials relevant.
While evaluating student learning, they maintain appropriate expectations for all students, provide appropriate feedback, and revise instruction accordingly.
They effectively communicate with students, parents, and the community.
Travel is not required for this position. However, the employee may be assigned to unanticipated worksites throughout the Nash County Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). There will be no travel between worksites - there will simply be unanticipated opportunities for worksite reassignment.
Bachelors Degree or Higher or Foreign Equivalent in Education or a related field.
Ability to obtain a NC Teaching License.
Multiple positions available.
Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
