Head Start/PreSchool Classroom Aide

School year position - 180 days

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists and works under the close directive of teachers to promote social, physical and cognitive growth in order to prepare children for the routines of a school setting.
• Expected to present a positive and professional image of Merrillville School Corporation.
• Ability to respond to routine inquiries or complaints from stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
