Description: Butler County Special Education Interlocal #638 is currently seeking a High Incidence Special Education teacher for Garfield Elementary School in Augusta, KS. This teacher provides specially designed instruction to students with disabilities in order to make progress in the school environment. The teacher focuses on both academics and social-emotional development, and transition planning to prepare students for middle school.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned to goals
• Provide instruction in areas of need
• Implement positive behavior supports and individualized behavior plans.
• Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families.
• Supervise and guide paraprofessionals within the classroom

Qualifications: Kansas teaching license or willing to complete requirements for special ed waiver and licensure.
