Preschool Teacher Substitute

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING:

• Valid Ohio Department of Education teaching license (Substitute License will meet the requirment)
• Current BCI & FBI background checks (done within the last 365 days and on file with the Ohio Department of Education);
• Official College Transcripts
• Letter of reference

The Summit ESC provides substitute opportunities in both full day and half day assignments. As a certified teacher, you are eligible to serve in any capacity that includes teacher, tutor, paraprofessional classroom assistant and student attendant opportunities. Substitutes are encouraged to read the following information carefully as we offer two different sub programs.

When you have completed your application, have current license and backgound check and submitted the requested information, you will need to contact Summit ESC at ... to schedule an in-person meeting with an HR representative. Once material has been reviewed and verified, you will be eligible to sub in various district programs listed below.

PROGRAM #1 - Employment through each District

Summit ESC provides a substitute list to member districts in Summit and Portage Counties. We will verify your eligibility for subbing and pass your information over to the district. Districts hire you directly at which time you would complete payroll paperwork. Pay rate varies by district.

PROGRAM #2 - Employment through Renhill Group

Substitutes for the programs and districts listed in this section are employed by our partner Renhill Group, through the Summit ESC. If you are interested in subbing for these programs and districts, you will be complete a Renhill application at your in-person meeting at Summit ESC. Pay rate for teachers is $125 per day. Pay rate for aides is $85 per day. Long term positions are available.

PAY UPTO $214.00 PER DAY FOR LONG TERM SUBBING. DAILY RATE IS $125.00.
