Hasten Hebrew Academy is a small, inclusive Jewish day school on the north side of Indianapolis serving students from 12 months through 8th grade. Our Early Childhood program, Giving Tree Early Learning, and our K-8 program work together to create a joyful, connected school community rooted in relationships, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences.

Position Overview:

HHAI is seeking a passionate and engaging Music Teacher to work with students from PreK through 8th grade. This role can be part-time or expanded based on candidate interest and school needs.

The ideal candidate brings energy, creativity, and a love of music, and is excited to build a program that introduces students to rhythm, movement, instruments, and performance in developmentally appropriate ways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach music classes to students in PreK through 8th grade
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate music lessons
• Introduce students to rhythm, melody, instruments, and basic music concepts
• Incorporate movement, singing, and creative expression into lessons
• Foster confidence and participation in all students
• Plan and support school performances and programs (as appropriate)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Manage materials, instruments, and classroom organization

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching music to children (early childhood and/or elementary/middle school)
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred
• Strong classroom management and engagement skills
• Ability to work with a wide range of ages and developmental levels
• Flexible, creative, and collaborative mindset
• Comfort leading groups in singing and musical activities
