Qualifications & Desired Experience: Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-6), particularly those with severe behavioral needs Strong understanding of writing and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans and IEPs Previous experience in a self-contained classroom environment preferred Restraint training is highly desirable Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities: Lead instruction and classroom management for students with diverse and intensive behavioral challenges Develop, document, and implement individualized education and behavior plans Utilize evidence-based interventions and maintain accurate records of student progress Collaborate closely with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive care Provide a safe, structured, and positive environment designed for student growth This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, providing the opportunity to make a lasting difference in a supportive educational community.
