Job Description
Milton Town School District is seeking two dynamic, innovative math teachers to join our middle school (grades 5-8) beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will be a dedicated practitioner of student-centered mathematics, implementing the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M) through a balanced approach that emphasizes both procedural fluency and deep conceptual understanding. We are looking for an educator who facilitates an inquiry-based classroom where students engage in the Standards for Mathematical Practicespecifically making sense of problems, reasoning abstractly, and constructing viable arguments.
As an integral part of a collaborative team, the candidate will utilize Marzano's high-yield instructional strategies and data-informed practices to dismantle systemic barriers and improve outcomes for all learners. Beyond the curriculum, the ideal candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills and a commitment to the holistic development of the middle-level student. By employing trauma-informed practices and restorative circles as foundational components of classroom management, the successful candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment where every student develops mathematical agency and confidence.
Salary of $53,266 - $85,423. Salary is based on degree and experience. With Full benefits offered.
