Job Description

Milton Town School District is seeking an energetic, upbeat, and innovative Science teacher to join our middle school (grades 5-8) beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will be a practitioner of phenomenon-based learning, implementing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) through a three-dimensional approach that integrates Disciplinary Core Ideas, Science and Engineering Practices, and Crosscutting Concepts. We are looking for an educator who facilitates hands-on inquiry, encouraging students to model complex systems, analyze data, and engineer solutions to real-world problems.

Beyond the lab, the candidate must be a collaborative professional who utilizes Marzano's high-yield instructional strategies to make scientific literacy accessible to all learners. We prioritize the holistic development of the middle-level student; therefore, the ideal candidate will skillfully employ trauma-informed practices and restorative practices to maintain a safe, inclusive, and emotionally regulated learning environment. By leveraging data-driven differentiation and a passion for discovery, the successful candidate will inspire a sense of wonder and scientific agency in every student.

Salary of $53,266 - $85,423. Salary is based on degree and experience. With Full benefits offered
