Schedule: 8:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. (30-minute duty-free lunch)
Rate of Pay: $17.10 per hour + Paraprofessional Pay Differential
Position Overview:
Bensenville School District 2 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Tioga Elementary School. In this role, you will work closely with certified staff to support students with disabilities in a structured, inclusive learning environment. This is a meaningful opportunity to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while contributing to a positive school community.
Job Description:
The Special Education Paraprofessional Aide will assist in a classroom setting under the supervision of a certified teacher. Responsibilities may also include supervision of students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, restrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, libraries, hallways, and during arrival/dismissal times, as directed by administration.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and implementation of instructional materials
- Support supervision, escorting, and instruction of students as directed
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of student progress
- Support the teacher in all aspects of the daily instructional program
- Participate in staff development activities as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License (required) - registered in DuPage County
