Job Description
Milton Town School District seeks two English Language Arts/Social Studies Teachers. The successful candidates will implement Common Core ELA standards through a balanced literacy approach, emphasizing the analysis of complex informational texts, diverse literary genres, and evidence-based writing. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will design instruction around the C3 Framework Inquiry Arc, empowering students to develop compelling questions, evaluate primary and secondary sources, and apply disciplinary tools across civics, economics, geography, and history to communicate conclusions through informed action.
In addition to academic rigor, the candidate must be a collaborative practitioner who utilizes Marzano's instructional strategies to drive student achievement. We seek an educator committed to the holistic middle-level learner, employing trauma-informed practices and restorative practices to build a cohesive, emotionally safe classroom community. By leveraging data-driven insights and skillful differentiation, the successful candidate will ensure that instruction meets the unique intellectual and social-emotional needs of every student.
Salary of $53,266 - $85,423. Salary is based on degree and experience. With Full benefits offered.
