Job Classification: Certified 10-month (190-day contract)

Reports to: School Principal

Pay Scale: Classified Salary Schedule

The individual must have or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).

Qualifications: A minimum of two years of college credit OR a high school diploma and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional assessment test are required. Experience working with young children is preferred.

Summary: Working under the direction of a certified teacher, provide support services to the classroom, including:

Prepare instructional materials

Instruct/supervise students

Perform clerical tasks

Experience in a variety of special education settings is preferred, specifically self-contained environments that require assistance with physical needs (feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility), health care procedures, behavioral management, and support addressing social-emotional needs.
