Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher at a Faith Based Preschool
Location: Bright Beginnings Center for Learning
Reports To: Preschool Director
Position Summary The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons, guiding children's social and emotional development, and maintaining open communication with families. The Lead Teacher will model positive behavior, foster a love of learning, and support each child's growth in a faith-based preschool setting.
Key Responsibilities
-Classroom Instruction & Curriculum
-Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children.
-Create a structured daily schedule that includes circle time, small group instruction, creative play, and gross motor activities.
-Foster early literacy, math, social-emotional, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experiences.
-Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence in young learners.
Classroom Environment
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
-Set clear expectations and use positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
-Prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning centers.
-Ensure classroom practices follow health and safety guidelines.
Child Development & Assessment
-Observe and document children's developmental progress.
-Support children's individual learning needs and developmental milestones.
-Communicate concerns or developmental observations to the director when necessary.
Family Communication
-Build positive relationships with families and maintain open communication.
-Share updates with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
-Participate in school events.
Leadership & Collaboration
-Supervise and guide assistant teachers or classroom aides.
-Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to maintain a positive school environment.
-Support the mission and values of the preschool and participate in school programs.
Qualifications
-Experience working with preschool-aged children (3-5 years old).
-Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
-Strong classroom management and communication skills.
-Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
-CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
-Clear background checks as required by state regulations.

-Strong organizational and leadership skills
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Passion for early childhood education and child development
Work Schedule
-School year position following the preschool calendar (August-May)
