Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina Special Education License required
- Proven classroom experience working with high school-aged students
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong background in behavior management; experience supporting students with behavioral challenges is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within a team
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to diverse learners in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and families to promote the academic and behavioral success of each student
- Develop lesson plans, track student progress, and document educational outcomes
- Implement effective classroom management strategies and behavior interventions
- Serve as an advocate for students while maintaining clear, professional communication with parents and colleagues
