Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract We are seeking a dedicated and skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Paraprofessional to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students during the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication, promote student independence, and assist in creating an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide ASL interpretation for students in classroom and school settings Support students' academic and social development Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and interpreters Assist with classroom management and instructional activities Adapt materials as needed to meet student needs Maintain confidentiality and follow IEP accommodations Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or higher preferred) Previous experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Certifications: Candidates with an active Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate are preferred Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay rate based on experience Benefits package Professional development opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
