Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous experience teaching special education in a K-12 setting preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with varying exceptionalities across grade levels
- Develop, monitor, and revise individualized education plans in partnership with families and school staff
- Assess student abilities and regularly track progress toward goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to comply with school and state requirements
