Unlike traditional remedial models that focus on recovery/remediation this role utilizes a "just-in-time" instructional approach to intentionally integrate prerequisite skills and academic vocabulary to prepare students for current grade-level curriculum. The primary goal is to keep students moving forward on their intended grade-level trajectories by providing support ahead of time so students can enter into Tier 1 instruction with more success.
