First Grade Teacher

Duties

Monroe Elementary School District #70 is seeking a First Grade Teacher to support elementary students in a positive learning environment. Basic duties include planning and delivering lessons, monitoring student progress, maintaining classroom management, and communicating with parents and staff. The position is self contained and includes instructing one cohort of students throughout the day. At Monroe, we utilize the Wonders curriculum for English Language Arts instruction and EnVision Math for mathematics instruction. Candidates should possess strong organizational and communication skills and hold appropriate Illinois licensure.

Qualifications

Appropriate Illinois Certification is required.

Monroe is an elementary school district that houses approximately 280 students in grades PreK-8. We are located just outside Peoria, Illinois and our district is next to the Peoria Inernational Airport just off interstate 474.
