Eudora Schools is accepting applications for a secondary high school English Language Arts instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The secondary ELA instructor creates a positive learning environment to facilitate students' personal, social, and intellectual development. To respond to students' individual needs and abilities, the Classroom Instructor must work closely with other staff and the administration of the Eudora School District.
Secondary teachers in the Eudora School District will instruct students in senior high school settings. They conduct classes in academic subjects, starting with the foundational content targeted for a specific grade level of students. They add complexity to spur students imaginations and intellect and prepare them for advanced education, workforce employment, or other post-secondary opportunities.
Teachers also work in an advisory capacity for a small, selected group of building students, working with each student assigned to them to develop an Individualized Plan of Study that is used to guide the student through their secondary education and any potential post-secondary options available to them in the future.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and an endorsement in the subject area taught.
