Position Overview
Bernheim Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to think critically about the world, engage in meaningful discourse, and make connections between historical events and current issues. This teacher will create a learning environment where all students feel valued, challenged, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned social studies instruction
Foster a postive classroom culture
Engage students in critical thinking and meaningful discussion
Use high-quality instructional resources (HQIR) to support student learning
Analyze student data to inform instruction and provide targeted support
Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2026-2027 school year.
Candidate must have Kentucky Social Studies Middle Grades Certification and possess all other requirements according to BCPS.
