Paraprofessional

Duties

Work closely with the classroom teacher in order to assist with instruction, supervision,

and the implementation of the students' Individualized Education Programs

? Assist individual or small groups of students with their academic and social emotional

needs

? Effectively communicate with students, staff, administrators and parents

? Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and serve as a role model for students by

demonstrating a positive attitude and effective work ethic

? Assist with planning, organization and implementation of age appropriate learning and

recreational activities with meet individual and developmental needs of the child.

? Provide support to instructors by setting up and taking down work areas, centers, and

displays.

? Assist in supervising students in the classroom, playground, monitor and control

behavior of students according to approved procedures.

? Assist in toileting needs as needed

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Educator License with Stipulation for Paraprofessional
