Key Qualifications and Experience: Active Colorado teaching license with appropriate Special Education endorsement Prior experience in a special education teacher role preferred Confident managing mild to moderate behavioral needs Comfortable with toileting duties and supporting personal care needs where required Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with co-teachers, support staff, and administration Core Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support for K-5 students with mild to moderate learning or behavioral challenges Track and maintain accurate records of student progress toward IEP goals Collaborate with co-teacher to oversee a caseload of up to 15 students, ensuring a supportive and structured classroom environment Maintain open communication with families, staff, and related service providers Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student growth and independence This assignment offers the stability of a full school year contract in a supportive, professional setting.
