Special Education Para Professional in Minneapolis, MN

This contract opportunity runs July 6thJuly 23rd, with a required orientation to be scheduled in June. Work Monday through Thursday, 8:45am2:15pm, for a total of 20 hours per weeka rewarding opportunity to contribute to students growth during the summer session.

You may work one-on-one with students who require additional support or assist teachers in a classroom setting. This role spans three different sites, each with several available positions. Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Para Test Certification OR proof of at least two years of post-secondary coursework (minimum 60 semester or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited college/university, OR proof of a college degree
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school or camp setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, staff, and school administrators
• Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach with students
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for helping students with diverse needs succeed

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas
• Implement teacher-directed lesson plans and classroom activities
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all students
• Participate in scheduled orientation and ongoing training as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
