First Grade Teacher

Instruction & CurriculumPlan and implement engaging lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and religion.Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with accommodations or IEPs.Use a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and hands-on learning experiences.Assess student progress regularly and use data to guide instruction.Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.Classroom EnvironmentCreate a safe, structured, and positive classroom culture.Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations and routines.Foster respect, responsibility, kindness, and cooperation among students.Support students social and emotional development.Communication & CollaborationCommunicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success.Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and parent conferences.Work collaboratively with support staff and specialists.Faith & School CommunitySupport and uphold the mission and values of the school.Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and interactions.Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and community-building activities.
