What Were Looking For:
- Current Kansas teaching license with Special Education endorsement required
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred; new graduates will also be considered
- Ability to design, implement, and adapt IEP goals to meet each students unique needs
- Skilled in participating in IEP meetings and communicating effectively with families and staff
- Eager to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, supporting student learning from multiple perspectives
- Familiarity with Kansas school systems is an advantage, but open to strong candidates from other backgrounds
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized services in resource room or self-contained environments as assigned
- Develop, modify, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student progress
- Monitor student growth and adjust instructional methods as needed
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaboration sessions
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and achievement
