Step into a rewarding contract opportunity shaping the educational experience for students with varying needs. This role focuses on supporting K-8 students across multiple elementary and primary school settings for the upcoming academic year, starting July 29, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027.
Your expertise as a Special Education professional will help deliver tailored instruction and structured interventions in both self-contained and resource settings. This is a full-time, onsite position with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Teaching License is required.
- Dual certification in Special Education and Early Childhood Education is a must.
- Multi-Categorical endorsement is required.
- Experience or familiarity with Pre-K through 8th grade students, including early childhood, ED, and multi-cat populations.
- Comfortable working in person across different school sites.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction for K-2 students in a multi-categorical self-contained classroom at Bennettsville Primary.
- Provide early childhood resource support at multiple elementary schools.
- Support K-8 students in resource roles at Wallace Elementary/Middle and Clio Elementary.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administration on student progress and adaptations.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment focused on student growth and achievement.
