Special Education Teacher - Bridgewater, NJ

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with current special education laws and practices
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with families, staff, and support services

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies and adaptive technology to engage learners
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes students academic and personal growth
• Assess and document students progress and adjust plans as necessary
• Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure compliance and success
• Communicate consistently with parents and guardians to provide updates and strategies for continued progress at home
