Key Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement Previous experience in a special education classroom strongly preferred Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs Skill in adapting instruction for a range of academic, functional, communication, and behavioral needs Strong communication and organization skills, with the ability to collaborate with parents and multi-disciplinary teams Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned to grade-level standards and individual IEP goals Provide structured academic, behavioral, and communication supports tailored to student strengths and needs Implement visual schedules, sensory supports, and social-emotional interventions Coordinate and collaborate with aides, related service providers, and other educational staff Track student progress meticulously, maintaining accurate documentation and updating goals as needed Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom climate You'll enjoy a collaborative atmosphere with support staff, including a dedicated program aide and additional 1:1 assistance as required.
