Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required

Valid Ohio Teaching License/Certification in Physical Education and/or Health

Must meet all Ohio Department of Education and Workforce licensure requirements

Previous experience working with urban and diverse student populations preferred

Preferred Candidate Will:

Deliver developmentally appropriate Physical Education and Health instruction aligned to Ohio Learning Standards

Promote positive student behavior through PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies

Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners

Utilize effective instructional strategies that support diverse learning needs

Collaborate with teachers, intervention staff, and administration to support the whole child

Maintain organized instructional spaces and ensure student safety at all times

Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to grow through coaching and professional development

Participate in school improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and professional learning opportunities

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver daily Physical Education and Health instruction for students in grades K-8

Promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

Implement schoolwide expectations aligned to PBIS and student wellness initiatives

Supervise students in instructional and non-instructional settings as assigned

Support schoolwide culture, climate, and attendance initiatives
