ECSE Pre-K Educator: Architect of Inclusion
Role Summary
As an ECSE Pre-K Teacher, you will lead a specialized classroom environment for children ages 35 with identified disabilities. You will design and implement highly individualized, play-based instruction that aligns with both Missouri Early Learning Standards and specific IEP goals. Working at the heart of a collaborative teamincluding therapists, paraprofessionals, and familiesyou will foster a nurturing community where social-emotional wellbeing and academic readiness go hand-in-hand.

  • Inspire Through Play: Facilitate a "hands-on" learning environment where therapy goals (Speech, OT, PT) are seamlessly woven into daily centers and play.
  • Coordinate the Team: Lead your classroom paraprofessionals and partner with related service providers to ensure a consistent, "Whole Child" approach.
  • Empower Families: Provide regular, meaningful communication to parents, helping them celebrate milestones and navigate the transition to Kindergarten.
  • Cultivate Regulation: Use trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming strategies to help students learn to navigate their emotions and their environment safely.
