Start your assignment on September 8, 2026, and continue through June 17, 2027, working full-time at 37.5 hours weekly. With five exciting openings, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a supportive staff and directly impact student growth.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license (SPED) in Oregon
- Robust experience managing elementary-level behavioral classrooms (such as supporting students exhibiting physical aggression or elopement)
- Proven ability to successfully manage a high-volume Learning Resource Classroom (averaging up to 43 students)
- Strong classroom management skills, fostering a positive and adaptive learning environment
- Able to collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to create individualized plans for student success
- Three most recent supervisor references (contact information required at time of consideration)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral support to students in designated caseloads
- Design and implement effective behavior intervention and academic plans
- Track progress, complete required documentation, and participate in ongoing team meetings
- Employ adaptable teaching strategies to ensure all students needs are met
- Maintain consistent communication with families and school teams
