In accordance with the provisions of Article XIV-B of the contract between the Flemington-Raritan Education Association and the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, the following position is available:

Special Education Teacher, Behavioral Disabilities/ERI, Grades K-2

School Year:

2026-2027

Effective Dates:

09/01/2026 - 06/30/2027(Tenure Track Position)

Qualifications:

1)NJ Elementary School Grades K-6 and NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification

or Teacher of the Handicapped certification required

2)Teaching experience working with children with behavioral and emotional needs preferred.

3)Strong behavior management skills and ability to maintain a positive classroom climate.

4)Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and with implementing techniques to increase time in the general education setting

Salary: Salary Range: $63,065 to $94,115, in accordance with the established FREA Salary Guide. Placement on the guide will be determined based on the provisions outlined in Article 12, Section A.1 (Initial Employment) of the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on FTE and for partial-year assignments.

Benefits:

Eligibility for benefits is based on length of service and full-time employment status. In accordance with the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement, full-time staff are eligible for medical, prescription, and dental coverage. Paid time off includes sick, personal, and bereavement days.
