Lower School Teacher

The Newton School is an innovative, private, non-profit elementary school in Sterling, Virginia currently serving students in K-8th grade. Our school focuses on students who benefit from small class sizes (typically 2 experienced teachers with 10 students), creative teaching methods and lots of physical activity integrated throughout the day. We are seeking a Lower School teacher for the 2025-26 school year, starting in August 2025. All teachers must be organized, engaging, creative, patient and flexible. Must be a team player, willing to try new things, and work within a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Education

At least two years experience in an elementary school

Knowledge of Virginia Standards of Learning

Live in Northern Virginia with a commute of less than 40 minutes
