The Piedmont School of Atlanta seeks a teacher with a master's degree in Special Education or Speech and Language Pathology. The teacher will implement a special education curriculum with a small group of students. Knowledge of creating a responsive, engaged classroom through educational technology (interactive boards and software) and differentiated instruction is essential. The candidate should have solid reading, language arts, and mathematics background. Proficiency in curriculum and instructional strategies are preferred. Piedmont reading instruction uses phonetic approaches and incorporates manipulatives in reading and mathematics instruction.
