Description: 0.7 FTE teaching position in a GRADES 3-5 PHYSICAL EDUCATION.

Job Summary:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping each child develop pride in personal accomplishments in physical education.
Engage students in movement through cooperation and teamwork.
Engage students in critical thinking and help them make connections to other content areas through dialogue and participation.
Solid understanding and successful experience in assessment in physical education.
Provide ongoing support and encouragement through instruction and assessments.
Collaborate with other teachers to design and coordinate common assessments and utilize data to target student developmental needs.
Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
Establish and maintain high standards for character and academic growth.

Qualifications:

Current Minnesota teaching license required.
Experience working with upper elementary students preferred.
Effective classroom management skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.
Experience with curriculum and assessment design.
Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.
Ability to use technology as an instructional tool.
