Key Qualifications:
- Current Alabama SPED licensure, verified online (endorsement must align with K-6 for elementary or 6-12 for secondary)
- Experience in special education classrooms, especially self-contained settings, strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and various disability and IQ levels
- Flexible and collaborative approach to education
- Willingness to participate in an onsite interview
- Commitment to a full-length contract from August 6, 2026 to May 27, 2027
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students in self-contained and/or high school settings per caseload assignment
- Implement IEPs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Adapt lessons and strategies to meet individual learning and behavioral needs
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and staff
