Elementary Vocal Music Teacher - Traveling

In our primary buildings, music is the universal language of belonging. We are looking for a dynamic, mobile, and creative Vocal Music Teacher to spark a love for singing and rhythm across our K-2 campuses. You won't just be teaching songs; you will be the musical thread that connects our different school communities.

As a Traveling Primary Vocal Music Teacher, you will lead the music program across [Number] of our seven dedicated primary schools (K-2). You will facilitate a joyful, play-based environment that focuses on foundational vocal technique, steady beat, and creative movement. Because you bridge multiple buildings, you will work closely with several principals and the Fine Arts Coordinator to ensure every student receives a consistent, high-quality musical foundation.

• Certified Professional: Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in Music (K-12).
• Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, required; Master’s degree, preferred.
• The "Road Warrior": Must have reliable personal transportation to travel between assigned buildings throughout the school day.
• Engagement Specialist: You excel at capturing the attention of K-2 students through high-energy storytelling, song, and movement.
• Organizational Virtuoso: You can manage schedules, classroom materials, and communication across different school cultures with ease.

• Ignite the Spark: Design and deliver engaging lessons that focus on matching pitch, rhythmic accuracy, and the pure joy of performance.
• Stay Mobile: Transition efficiently between school sites, maintaining a positive, professional presence at every building you serve.
• Utilize Resources: Leverage our district’s unique assets, like Little Creek Nature Area , to explore the music and sounds of the environment.
• Collaborate: Partner with Grade-Level PLCs across sites to integrate music with early literacy and social-emotional learning.
• Showcase Success: Coordinate performances and school-wide "informances" that bring families together and celebrate student growth.

• Primary Support: District Fine Arts Coordinator
• Site Support: Building Principals at your assigned Primary Schools

• Classification: Exempt, Certified Staff
• Work Year: 10-Month Academic Calendar, 187 Contract Days
• Travel Support: Daily travel between sites is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided per district policy to cover your travel costs.
• Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, determined by experience and education.
