Toddler Teacher Assistant

Location: The Learning Experience - Canton, MI

Pay: $16-$18 per hour (based on credentials and experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Toddler Teacher Assistant - Early Learning Classroom

The Learning Experience - Canton is seeking a dependable Toddler Teacher Assistant to support children during an important stage of language development, independence, and social-emotional growth.

This role focuses on helping maintain a nurturing and engaging classroom environment through structured routines, hands-on learning activities, and positive teacher-child interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with toddler classroom routines and daily activities
• Support language development and positive social interaction
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Assist with meals, diapering, and classroom transitions
• Support developmentally appropriate learning activities and classroom centers
• Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience required
• CDA preferred but not required
• Experience working with toddlers preferred
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
